The Atlanta Hawks (15-6) have obviously had the superior season so far, but there are a few reasons to believe that their road game against the Toronto Raptors (7-14) could potentially be a tough one. Atlanta has gone just 7-5 on the road and they have proven to be much more beatable when traveling, although the Raptors’ 2-5 record in Toronto doesn’t exactly instill a ton of confidence in the underdog.
The fact that the Hawks have won 9 of the last 10 head-to-head meetings against the Raptors doesn’t help the home team’s cause much either. Atlanta has won 5 straight during that span and has covered the odds in 6 of the last 9. That being said, Toronto has covered the odds in 3 of the last 5 meetings and has played some close basketball against the Hawks despite being large underdogs a majority of the time. The over hasn’t hit in any of the last 4 meetings between the Hawks and the Raptors.

Toronto has, however, started to play some good basketball recently. Despite being large underdogs in their last 4 games which were all held on the road, the Raptors have managed to win outright in 3. Their 94-73 road win over the New Jersey Nets as 5-point underdogs last time out could signal a turning point in the season, and the Hawks will be playing a hot team on the road on Tuesday. The under has been a winner in the last 2 games for the Nets.
Atlanta has won outright in 8 of 10 while covering the odds in 5 of those games. The Hawks will be 5-point betting favorites for this one but have been bet down from an opener of -5.5 despite tracking websites showing that Atlanta is getting nearly 75% of the action. The total started out at 179 but was quickly bet down as low as 176.5.
