Sunday’s 6:00 PM ET NBA game between the Cleveland Cavaliers (7-11) and the Boston Celtics (9-9) is a tricky one to bet on because of the injury situation surrounding the clash.
Boston is at home but it is tough to figure out what their team will look like with many of their stars possibly sitting out.
Betting odds took a long time to come out in this game because guard Ray Allen (ankle), center Jermaine O’Neal (knee), and guard Keyon Dooling (hip) are all listed as questionable, while guard Rajon Rondo (wrist) only recently was listed as doubtful to play.
Las Vegas surely had a hard time deciding on the odds here, but they eventually settled on the home-team Celtics as a 7-point favorite with a total of 182. Savvy bettors didn’t wait long to move the lines, however, and Boston is currently favored by 6.5 with a total of either 181 or 181.5 depending on where you place your action.
Close to 70% of tracked NBA bettors are still taking the Celtics despite the question marks surrounding this game.
