The Saturday NBA matchup between the Washington Wizards (3-15) and the Charlotte Bobcats (3-16) won’t garner much interest from anyone other than hardcore fans of these teams, but there is still plenty of money to be made for savvy sports bettors that pick the right team to put their money on.
Washington has gone 6-12 against the Las Vegas odds this season, while Charlotte has only been a tick better at 7-12.
The visiting Wizards debuted as a 4.5-point road favorite but it didn’t take long for bettors to wager them down to -1.5 at the time of this writing.
The spread isn’t the only thing that has shifted, as the total has been wagered down from an opener of 188 to where it currently sits at 186.
The Bobcats have gone under in 10 of their 19 games this season, while the Wizards have gone under in 11 of 18.

It is a bit weird to see Washington as the favorite here considering they have gone a perfect 0-7 on the road this year while the Bobcats have gone 2-7 in Charlotte.
The under has been a winner in 8 of the last 10 head-to-head meetings between these teams, although the over has actually won in 8 of the last 11 games played between the Bobcats and the Wizards in Charlotte.
It’s a bit of a statistical anomaly and is difficult to figure out which way to lean with those numbers.
Washington won the only meeting this year 92-75 as 7.5-point home favorites, while the Wizards also hold a 97-91 victory as 8.5-point underdogs the last time these two teams met up in Charlotte.
The Bobcats were 104-89 winners as 3.5-point betting favorites at home in the meeting before that, and about the only thing I can figure out about this game is that picks won’t be easy to make with all that conflicting information.
