The Miami Heat (8-2) head into Los Angeles to take on the Clippers (4-3) on Wednesday and there are a few reasons to believe this one could be close.
The Clippers are the home team here and the visitor in this head-to-head series has gone winless over the past 6 meetings.
Los Angeles was a 111-105 winner when they hosted the Heat last year, while Miami was a 97-79 winner the last time the Clippers had to travel.
You also have to figure that the Heat have some tired legs at this point in the season.
On January 5th they won 116-109 in overtime in a road game against the Atlanta Hawks, only to have to travel to New Jersey two days later for another victory.
Last night the Heat lost 106-111 in overtime after traveling across the country to take on the Golden State Warriors, and those overtime games, combined with jet lag, have me wondering how physically ready Miami will be.

Despite the warning signs, Miami has actually been bet up to a 4.5-point road favorite for tonight’s 10:30 PM ET game after starting off at just -4.
