The Detroit Lions (10-5) are attempting to be the first team all season to go on the road and defeat the Green Bay Packers (14-1) who are a perfect 7-0 at Lambeau Field.
Green Bay doesn’t have much to play for after wrapping up the top seed in the NFC Playoff standings, and it remains to be seen how much game time they allow their regulars to see in this 1:00 PM ET game.
The Lions are also locked into the playoff spot but could use a victory here to ensure they keep the #5 spot in the standings over the Atlanta Falcons.
Green Bay was a 27-14 winner as 4-point road favorites earlier this season, and they’ve now defeated the Lions in 9 of the previous 10 head-to-head meetings.
The Packers have covered the point spread in 7 of those 10 games, while the under has been a winner in 4 of the last 5 clashes between these NFC North rivals.
The Lions had a rough stretch after a great start earlier in the year but they have since rebounded to win 3 straight games.
The under has been a winner in 3 of the last 5 Detroit games this season, while the Lions have covered the point spread in just 1 of those 5.
Green Bay’s perfect season was lost when they fell on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs, but they rebounded from the defeat to take out the Chicago Bears 35-21 last weekend.
In addition to winning games, the Packers have also been a nice bet this year and have now covered the point spread in 6 of their last 10 matchups.
