One of the more intriguing bowl matchups this season will pit the Toledo Rockets (8-4) against the Air Force Falcons (7-5) in the 2011 Military Bowl.
The Rockets are currently a 3-point favorite, having been bet up from an opener of -2.5 thanks to public support showing close to 60% of wagers are being made on Toledo.
The total was set extremely high at 70 but has been bet down to 69.5 at certain sportsbooks.
The Military Bowl will be played at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C., and the time to tune in to ESPN is 4:30 PM ET.
Toledo and Air Force both have winning records away from home and there are no recent head-to-head meetings to speak of between these teams.
The Rockets have been the superior team from a wagering standpoint this season with 7 point spread covers in 12 games.
The Falcons are just 5-7 against the odds this year but have covered the line in their 2 previous games.
Toledo will head into this December 28th bowl game with 7 wins over their last 8 games.
The only loss for them over that span was a 60-63 shocker that might be the game of the year, and the Rockets have also covered the spread in their 2 most recent outings.
Air Force has won outright in 4 of their last 5 but did lose 17-25 to Wyoming as 16.5-point home favorites in their only recent loss.
Air Force and Toledo have been excellent to over bettors this year and the two combine to average 76.6 points scored and 58.1 points allowed.
The Falcons have gone over the number in 9 of their 12 games this season, while Toledo isn’t that far behind with 7 over winners through their 12 contests.
