The Monday Night Football game this week features two of the NFL’s best teams as the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3) hit the road to take on the San Francisco 49ers (10-3).
The 49ers are coming off an upset 19-21 loss on the road against the Arizona Cardinals and you can bet they will be fired up to get back on the winning track.
Pittsburgh, meanwhile, is on a 4-game winning streak and has looks to be in playoff form as winners of 8 of their last 9 games.
Injuries and suspensions look to alter the outcome quite a bit on Monday night.
The 49ers have linebacker Patrick Willis (hamstring) and tackle Joe Staley (head) listed as questionable, while Pittsburgh has center Maurkice Pouncey (ankle) as probable with linebacker LaMarr Woodley (hamstring) and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (ankle) listed as questionable.
Pittsburgh linebacker has been suspended for the game because of a helmet-to-helmet hit on Cleveland quarterback Colt McCoy, although he plans to appeal.
Most sportsbooks are waiting for the questions regarding who is playing to be answered, but a few have put up lines on the game.
The 49ers are currently 2.5-point home favorites online, while a line of-1.5 is more common in Las Vegas.
A total of 39.5 looks to be the likely opener, although much can change before the number is released.
Pittsburgh and San Francisco last met up in 2007 when the home team Steelers won 37-16 as 10-point favorites.
The 49ers were 30-14 winners as 4-point favorites in San Francisco in 2003, and both recent head-to-head meetings have gone over the total.
The Steelers are just 6-7 against the point spread this season while San Francisco has been one of the best in the NFL at 10-2-1.
