The Miami Dolphins (4-9) fired Coach Tony Sparano this week, and it will be interesting to see how the team responds in Sunday’s 1:00 PM ET tilt against the Buffalo Bills (5-8).
Miami started the season winless through 7 starts, but it appeared that the team was finally starting to play quality football after winning 4 of 5 games with their only loss being by a single point on the road against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Dolphins then lost 10-26 against the Philadelphia Eagles last weekend, and it was apparently enough for Miami to give up on their coach.
While Miami has come back to look good after a horrible start, the Bills have started to look horrible after early season indications were that they’d challenge for a playoff spot. Buffalo got off to a 5-2 start but has since dropped 6 straight games while only covering the point spread a single time during the losing streak.
The Bills have lost by 27 or more points in 3 of their last 5 losses, and the train has completely gone off the tracks.

This had to be a difficult line for the odds makers to set, and they ended up with the road-team Dolphins favored by 1.5.
Buffalo has been horrible lately, but their year-to-date record at covering the point spread of 5-7-1 is still nearly as strong as Miami’s 6-6-1 mark.
The Dolphins have gone over the total in just 2 of their 13 games this season, while the Bills have only gone under in 4 of their 13.
One trend supporting Buffalo here is that they are 4-2 at home while Miami has picked up a single victory through 6 chances when having to travel.
