The Idaho Potato Bowl matchup between the Utah State Aggies (7-5) and the Ohio Bobcats (9-4) might not be the sexiest of all the bowl matchups, but it looks like a good one for wagering purposes.
Currently the Aggies are favored by 2.5 while the total sits at 57.5.
Both sets of lines have been adjusted in recent days after Utah State opened up at -3.5 with a total of 55.
Ohio is garnering close to 60% of all tracked bets on the game.
These two teams haven’t met up since 1994 when Utah State won 5-0 as 2-point favorites on the road.
The Aggies are currently on a 5-game winning streak over the likes of Hawaii, San Jose State, Idaho, Nevada, and New Mexico State, but they’ve only covered the point spread in 2 of those wins.
Utah State games have gone under in 2 straight after the 3 games before then all went over the total.
Ohio is fresh off a 20-23 loss against Northern Illinois but had racked up 5 straight wins over Akron, Temple, Central Michigan, Bowling Green, and Miami-Ohio before the defeat.
The Bobcats have covered the point spread in 4 of their last 6 games, while 3 straight have now gone under the total.
Ohio’s 4-3 record away from home trumps Utah State’s 3-3 mark this year.

The Idaho Potato Bowl will be shown on ESPN on December 17th, and kickoff is set for 2:00 PM ET.
The game will be played in Boise, Idaho and these squads will battle it out on the blue turf made famous by the Boise State Broncos.
This will be the 2nd of 3 games on ESPN that day with the New Mexico Bowl starting first and the New Orleans Bowl ending the night.
