The Cincinnati Bengals (4-2) and the Seattle Seahawks (2-4) have a 4:15 PM ET game this weekend, and we’ll preview the betting odds and recent trends before Sunday’s NFL action.
The Seahawks will be at home for this one and their 1-1 mark in Seattle will be tested by a Cincinnati squad that has amassed a 2-1 record on the road.
The Bengals are currently 3-point betting favorites with the total set at 38. Stations Casino in Las Vegas is the only Nevada sportsbook that I’m aware of that has the total still set at its opener of 38.5.
The Bengals have picked up wins against the Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, and Cleveland Browns this season, while suffering their only losses against the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos.
Cincinnati has covered the point spread in 5 of their 6 games this season while going over the total every single time they’ve covered.
The game against the 49ers was the only time that the Bengals haven’t covered, and it is also the only time they’ve gone under the total.
Seattle has pulled off improbable wins as underdogs against the New York Giants and the Arizona Cardinals, but they haven’t exactly shown consistency.
The Seahawks have lost outright against the Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons, Pittsburgh Steelers, and San Francisco 49ers, but they have managed to cover the point spread in 3 of their last 4. 2 of Seattle’s last 3 games have gone over the total.
Cincinnati and Seattle last met up in 2007 when the home-team Seahawks grabbed a 24-21 win as 3.5-point favorites.
4 of the 5 games played between these teams since 1994 have gone over the total, while the Bengals have covered the point spread in 4 of those 5.
