The #16 Baylor Bears (3-0) will go on the road to take on the also-undefeated Kansas State Wildcats (3-0) on Saturday, and this 3:30 PM ET game figures to be a good one.
These two schools met up last year and it was Baylor taking a 47-42 home victory as 6.5-point favorites.
Although the score seems to indicate that Kansas State was in the game, they were actually outgained by 274 total yards and a bit lucky to keep it as close as they did.
Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III (962 yards, 85.4%, 13 TD, 0 INT) has been the best player in college football so far, and he’s leading the Bears’ offense to a staggering 51.3 points and 594.0 total yards per game.
Although the offense has been amazing, the defense has allowed 26.3 points per game and 4.5 yards per rush, and figures to be tested here.
Kansas State’s offense has run for 240.7 yards per game on 6.2 per carry, and they’d be scoring more if they could figure out a way to pass for more than 125.7 per game.
Wildcats’ quarterback Collin Klein (335 yards, 59.6%, 4 TD, 1 INT) has made good decisions, but it’s hard to put up big points when your offense only has one consistent way to beat the opposing defense.
Las Vegas has made Baylor the 3.5-point road favorite in this ABC-televised game, and the Bears are garnering around 75% of tracked college football bets.
The Baylor vs. Kansas State total is at 65 and has been bet up a bit since coming out at 63. Those wagering in Las Vegas can find a 64.5 at the Hilton if they are planning to put some money on the over.
