New Orleans Saints versus Indianapolis Colts Super Bowl XLIV Prop Picks February 7th 2010 NFL Las Vegas and Offshore Betting Odds

It will be the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts meeting in Super Bowl 44 from Miami Florida on Sunday night. They kick off this NFL pro football game at 6:25PM Eastern Time and you can watch it on CBS.

We will look at some of the favorable props from a betting perspective from today’s Super Bowl between the Saints and the Colts.

Longest reception in the Super Bowl from Jeremy Shockey will be less than 14 ½ yards at –130 odds. Shockey has been injured and could see very limited action in this game. He will be Drew Brees’ option in short yardage to move the sticks so I don’t expect to see many throws downfield to a tight end against the speedy secondary of Indianapolis.

Indianapolis starting quarterback Peyton Manning will have more touchdowns than Drew Brees at –170. The fact is the Saints defense is not very good and Peyton Manning will pick it apart. Drew Brees when inside the 5-yard line has run options with Mike Bell and Reggie Bush carrying the ball into the end zone.

I like another quarterback prop in this game as Peyton Manning will complete more passes than Drew Brees at –1 pass at –115 odds. Drew Brees gets better performance in the running game than Peyton Manning. The Colts work the short passing game to perfection here, as Manning will find openings to exploit this Saints defense with passes underneath coverage to eat clock.

The New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston will score a touchdown in this game before Reggie Wayne at +125. Colston is a huge weapon in the red zone based on his size. Brees likes to go to Colston in the red zone downfield. Manning will throw to the open receiver while as Brees looks to Colston as his first option.

Player to score first touchdown in this game take Marques Colston of the New Orleans Saints at 8-1 betting odds. It’s a good bet since as we said before Drew Brees looks for Colston in the red zone. Should New Orleans wins the toss and gets inside the red zone you know Colston gets the first look from Brees.

We also like to play on Marques Colston to score the first New Orleans Saints touchdown in this game at 4-1 odds for the same reasons.

Play the first score in this game to be a field goal at +155. Look for the big plays from the passing game to come after a few series as the teams adjust from the pictures that get sent downstairs. That’s where Manning and Brees will be able to find the openings needed to get those touchdowns. Early on there will be a red zone stop forcing the field goal.
